• Automatic Operation

  The PlotLog dialog box appears whenever the AutoCAD® Plot command is invoked.  You plot in the same way that you are now accustomed to.

• Easy to customize

  The Billing Type, Color Type, Media Type, Media Size, Plot Quality and Phase values offered for selection by the draftsperson can easily be completely configured by the CAD Manager. There's also a User Defined field that you can use for any purpose. You decide what your users can select from! See the PlotLog Configuration dialog below.

• Saves Records of your Plots to a Central Location

  A list of projects is maintained in an ASCII file, which can be placed locally or on a server.

  Records of plots are saved in comma delimited format to an ASCII file for easy import into any spreadsheet or database program of your choice. This file can be placed locally or on a server. Use our sample database files to generate reports from the ASCII file if you wish.

• Sample Microsoft Access 97® and Access 2000-2003® Databases

  PlotLog ships with customizable, sample Microsoft Access 97 and Access 2000 database files that you can use to generate your plot reports. Includes sample plotting records so you can generate sample reports after installing PlotLog to see if they will work for your company's needs. You can use these database files to create your actual plotting reports!

More Useful Features of PlotLog 6

• AutoSave can save log records automatically without displaying the PlotLog dialog.

The operator does not need to select the proper paper size in the PlotLog dialog. The size of each plot is automatically entered into the record without user intervention. Great for service bureaus and reprographics companies!

If your company uses project codes as folder names, you can configure PlotLog to automatically use the drawing's folder name as the project code.

You can create any number of PlotLog configurations as you wish for any purpose. Name a configuration by the operator name, the drawing folder's name or the drawing's name, and PlotLog will use one of them instead of the default configuration.

Each of the categories in the PlotLog dialog can be renamed to anything you like. For example, you can refer to Project Codes as Job Numbers. Or you could change the category named Billing Type to something else that is important for you to track.

The log fields for Plotting Units, Plot Width and Plot Height, allow for easier, more exact reporting. There's also a optional Note field, and a User Defined field that you can use for any purpose you wish. These fields enable you to create many more kinds of formulas so that your reports are better suited to the needs of your company.

You can run PlotLog from the AutoCAD command prompt without displaying the PlotLog dialog. The prompts ask for the information that you would have selected from in the PlotLog dialog.

PlotLog runs automatically from an AutoCAD script without displaying the PlotLog dialog, and there is no need to edit your plot scripts to include the PlotLog command sequence.
